a few words about me
She currently co-hosts a radio show on KTALK and is actively involved in her community.
Heather was appointed in 2014 by Senator Niederhauser to the standards review committee for Fine Arts. Her past employers include the State of Utah, Franklin Covey, and Utah County. She spends time engaged in grassroots efforts during each legislative session. Ms. Gardner’s father is a retired colonel, having served 26 years in the U.S. Army. Her late mother was a social worker and educator.
Formerly employed by Utah County in the Jail On Unit Treatment Program, Foothill Residential and Day Treatment Program. Ms. Gardner is a certified Prime For Life instructor and worked as a Spanish speaking Domestic Violence Crime Victims Advocate. She was employed by the State of Utah as a Child Protective Services, adoption and foster care worker. Heather holds a current Social Service Worker license, past Private Probation Provider license and has passed the exam for her LSAC- Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor. Se habla espanol.
Heather has a BS in psychology from Brigham Young University. She loves capturing landscapes, weddings, families, events and author photos. Several of her photos have been published. Heather worked in the social service work field for several years. In her free time Heather enjoys participating in triathlons with her family, traveling, reading, autism and education advocacy, genealogy and the outdoors.
Born in Oakland California as an Army brat, Heather has lived all over the United States, in Japan, and Chile. She and her husband reside in Davis County and are the parents of six children.
