Biography

Heather Gardner is a photographer, wife, and mother. She is the former Vice-Chair of the Davis County Republican Party. Heather was elected as a delegate and member of the Utah Republican State Central Committee. She is a former state school board candidate and educator and was appointed in 2014 by Senator Niederhauser to the standards review committee for Fine Arts. Her past employers include the State of Utah, Franklin Covey, and Utah County. She spends time up on Capitol Hill engaged in grassroots efforts during each legislative session. Ms. Gardner’s father is a retired colonel, having served 26 years in the U.S. Army. Her late mother was a social worker and educator.

Heather has a BS in psychology from Brigham Young University. She owns her own photography business where she loves capturing landscapes, weddings, families, events and author photos. Several of her photos have been published. Heather worked in the social work field for many years. In her free time Heather enjoys participating in triathlons with her family, traveling, reading, autism and education advocacy, genealogy and the outdoors.

Born in Oakland California as an Army brat, Heather has lived all over the United States, in Japan, and Chile. She and her husband reside in Davis County and are the parents of five children.
